The Long Jump:

In the long jump, each participant jumps 3 times, and the best jump is taken. Here is Emma's third and best jump. Although it was not her personal best, she still placed 3rd. Go Em!

The 300M Hurdles:

Watch how smoothly Emma runs these hurdles. At the beginning of the race, you have to watch very closely because Em hardly breaks her stride when jumping. Amazing!

Emma's relay team huddles with the three coaches to discuss the upcoming race. Notice each of the girls is wearing a hot pink ribbon in her hair. The ribbons are monogrammed with the initial "K" and are worn in memory of one of their relay teammates, Kristen, who died in a car accident last summer.

The 400M Relay:

Video of the remaining races wouldn't upload, but here are some photos of two more of her races. Emma ran the 3rd leg of the 400M Relay, and we weren't in the best position to see her. Their team is in lane 5...see if you can find her!

It was a photo finish! Em's team finished second in the relay, but they ran their personal best time. Way to go, girls!


The 100M Hurdles:

You'll see Em in the first lane (far right). This is the first time she's run this race this season, and did great! Be sure to check out that form:

Emma finished 3rd in this race. Go, Em!

The Track Star:

Emma poses with a few of her ribbons. The first place she's holding up is from her just-completed 1600M Relay. They did great! I don't have their exact time, but my video clocks their relay at 4:22, and the second-place team came in over 20 seconds after them!

Emma's team place 1st overall in the meet, and the second place team finished 9 points behind them. Here's a recap of how Em did in her events:
